The creator of Ultimate Elixirs, Chicago's Premier Mixologist/Traveling Elixir Fixer, Angie Jackson,
began her bar career in 1996. Angie developed her talents and techniques tending bar at great establishments,
including Isaac Hayes' Music, Food, Passion Club in downtown Chicago. She was a Corporate Bar Trainer
for three years, training hundreds of bartenders and managers the art of cocktail creation and bar skills.
In recent years, Angie has taken her talents to the catering table. She has worked with many
of the top chefs in Chicago, including Chicago's premier rock-n-roll caterer, Big Delicious Planet. Angie has designed, created and executed cocktails for numerous celebrity and high profile clients, from formal
and informal private home parties to large events. In 2007, Angie competed in the Sante Magazine Iron Bar Chef Competition held at the Drawing Room in Chicago.
More recently, Angie executed cocktails at the 2009 James Beard Awards in New York City and for the City of Chicago's Museum of Modern Ice Exhibit in 2008. Angie has created and executed cocktails for Malt Advocate's WhiskyFest - Chicago in 2008 and 2009. She has designed numerous signature drink menus for well known bars, restaurants, distributors,
distillers, corporate and private clients in the greater Chicago area. In December 2008, Angie
was asked by Comcast Cable Company to appear in their local television segments, entitled “Community Connections,” executing and demonstrating classic cocktail recipes available for OnDemand viewing in the greater Chicagoland area.
One of Angie's signature gin cocktail recipes appears in renowned Bourbon expert Gary Regan’s "The Bartenders Gin Compandium book released in August 2009. She also assisted Gary Regan with an upcoming iPhone cocktail application due for release in late 2009. Angie has contributed
to articles featured in the New York Times and Nation’s Restaurant News as well as Bride and Groom magazine.
Angie is an active member of the United States Bartenders Guild, Illinois Chapter, and has studied under Master Mixologist Bridget Albert, graduating from the Academy of Fine Spirits and BarSmarts Advanced Certification Program through the Beverage Alcohol Resource, LLC, in association with Pernod Ricard. In September 2009, Angie completed
the Advanced Academy of Fine Spirits and is preparing to take the Masters Accreditation exam after completing the
program.
